Updating Canada Post rates and software on the DM Infinity

Learn how to perform the Canada Post rates and software update on the DM Infinity.

Before you begin

Make sure that your system is connected using a local area network connection (LAN) to communicate with the Pitney Bowes Data Centre.

Follow these steps to complete your update.

If your meter is attached to the base

  1. Press the Funds button.
  2. Select Get Postage by Phone Balance.
  3. When the connection is complete, your PB Postage balances appear. Review your account balances, and select Done.
  4. Select Get Update Now by pressing the adjacent soft key.
  • Note: If the update prompt does not appear, your meter may already be up to date or updates are not ready for download. Visit our Rates and Software Updates page for more information.
  1. Select OK when prompted.
  • If the message Data Capture Upload required appears, select Connect Now.

If your meter is detached from the base

  1. Select Refill / View Funds.
  2. Select Get Postage by Phone Balance.
  3. When the connection is complete, your PB Postage balances appear. Review your account balances, and select Done.
  4. Select Get Update Now by pressing the adjacent soft key.
  • Important: If the update prompt does not appear, your meter may already be up to date or updates are not ready for download. Visit our Rates and Software Updates page for more information.
  1. Select OK when prompted.
  • If the message Data Capture Upload required, select Connect Now.

Confirm your meter update

Click on the Confirm Meter Update button to verify that your Canada Post rate update installed successfully:

Note: Meter software updates cannot be confirmed with this tool.
On completion of your meter update there are no further actions required. If the meter is updated before the effective date, it automatically switches to the new rates on the effective date.
Important: This update can take up to 10 minutes to complete. During peak periods, heavy network traffic may require several connection attempts.
