Manually changing the phone number dialed on the mailstation series

When a meter using an analog connection and modem attempts to dial into the Pitney Bowes Data Centre, it may display system messages such as, Data center busy or Connection dropped. To resolve these messages, change the phone number your meter uses to connect to the Pitney Bowes Data Centre.

Follow these steps to change the phone number on your mailstation™ or mailstation2
  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press the Review Arrow to scroll until you see Change Setup?
  3. Press Enter/Yes.
  4. Press the Review Arrow to scroll to Change Communication Settings? 
  5. Press Enter/Yes.
  6. Press the Review Arrow to scroll to Change local access number?.
  7. Press Enter/Yes.
  8. Type in the appropriate phone number 1-844-449-7223. Do not enter a dialing prefix, such as '9,' with the phone number.
  9. Press Enter/Yes.
  10. At Stay in Setup?, press No to return to your main screen.
