SendSuite Tracking Release Notes for version 14.2 (December 19, 2019).

New Features

This section describes the major new features or enhancements that are included in this release.

Internet Explorer 11. Compatibility Settings.

Users of IE11 no longer need to enable compatibility settings for the SendSuite Admin page.

Smart Client. Bulk Delivery.

Bulk delivery is an item available in the Deliver menu that has been enhanced. Bulk now also allows the user to specify a site (or all sites) for which all undelivered items will be marked as delivered.

SendSuite Link. Enable Basic Authentication.

Configurable in Setup>General Settings of the SendSuite Admin page, Enable Basic Authentication allows an administrator to specify credentials for use with API requests.

SendSuite Admin. Disable/Enable User Accounts.

Administrative users may now disable or enable user accounts as needed. Viewing a user record in edit mode now offers a toggle button next to the User ID field; click to switch the toggle.

SendSuite Link. Oracle OpenJDK.

SendSuite Link has been updated to implement Oracle OpenJDK. Java is no longer used.

SendSuite Link. WildFly Updated.

SendSuite Link now implements WildFly 17.

 

Security Updates

This section describes the security improvements included in this release.

SendSuite Mobile. Password Hashing.

Stored user passwords are no longer stored as plain-text hashed values.

System. Security Improvements.

Security improvements have been made in the following areas:

  • Session management.
  • Protection against brute force attacks.
  • System hardening
  • Protection of sensitive data

 

Support Items

This section includes items that have been raised via Support and escalated to Development for resolution within this release.

SendSuite Tracking. Installer.

Resolved an issue whereby the installer would suspend indefinitely if there is a space in the path to the installation executable.

SendSuite Link. Installer.

Resolved an issue in which the WildFly service would not be installed during an upgrade of SendSuite Link. This issue did not affect new installations.

SendSuite Admin. Intuitive Labels.

Several settings in SendSuite Admin have had their labels updated to more intuitive phrasing to better assist users in understanding the purpose of the setting.

SendSuite Mobile. Tracking Number Search.

When scanning a barcode to find a package in a manifest, SendSuite Mobile will only select an item if the barcode value is an exact match as opposed to the record with the closest-matching value.

ETL Site Data Import. Missing Disable Camera.

The Site Import of the ETL now permits providing a value for the Disable Camera field.

SendSuite Mobile. Incorrect Received Date (RDATE) Value.

Resolved an issue in which some receiving layout configurations would set the receiving date value to the date prior.

SendSuite Link. Updated Dictionary.

SendSuite Link has been updated to return SITEEMAIL and DISABLECAMERA values when requested. The KeyNotFoundException error will no longer be encountered.

SendSuite Mobile. Force Receive.

Improved the integrity of the Enforce SSMobile User to Receive Mail before Delivering it feature, ensuring the selected value is applied on the first sync of an affected device.

SendSuite Link. User Record.

SendSuite Link will no longer permit Create, Read, Update, and Delete (CRUD) commands on the USERS table.
