"PDF Image Request Open" and "Error: Could not find image in database." when printing stamps from SendPro Enterprise in Google Chrome

The message "PDF Image Request Open" followed by "Error: Could not find image in database." when printing stamps from SendPro Enterprise in Google Chrome occurs because the "Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome" setting is enabled.
Products affected: SendPro® Enterprise

Issue

When printing stamps or a test stamp sheet in Google Chrome, the following message appears:

PDF
Image Request
Open

When clicking Open, the message "Error: Could not find image in database." appears.

An Extension for a PDF Viewer should be in Google Chrome under More Tools > Extensions in the Google Chrome Control Panel.

Cause

The "Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome" setting is enabled in Google Chrome.

Resolution

Solution 1: Change how Chrome handles PDF files

  1. In Google Chrome, click on the menu icon Google Chrome 3 dots menu to the right of the address bar and select Settings.
  2. Select Privacy and security > Site Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Additional content settings.
  4. Select PDF Documents.
  5. Move the toggle switch to the left to turn the Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome setting OFF.
  6. Close the Settings tab.
  7. Close Chrome.
  8. Reopen Chrome.
  9. Sign back in to SendPro Enterprise and try again to print a stamp sheet.

Solution 2: Try a different browser

  1. Open SendPro Enterprise in a browser other than Google Chrome.
  2. Ensure that Print Margins or Print Scale is configured in the new browser to ensure stamps print correctly.
  3. Go to the Stamp App and print a test stamp sheet.
