When running the inserter and the shuttle motor is in a stalled state, jams may occur or the item bearing the address may appear behind the insert or return envelope. However, the inserter still runs without detecting a fault because most items coast over the top of the Post Fold shuttle and into the grip of the insert belts, so no error is triggered. The shuttle motor will only restart when the machine is stopped and restarted.
The machine's firmware and board are not compatible.
To resolve this issue:
- Press Stop to stop the inserter.
- Open the covers and remove any jammed material.
- Close all of the covers.
- Press Clear Deck to clear any material in the system.
If the issue returns, contact customer support from 8 am to 8 pm Eastern Time. Please have your model number ready.
