Creating a Rate Shop Group in PitneyShip Pro
You can create a Rate Shop Group to restrict the carrier services that are available at a particular location, division, or enterprise.

You can create rate shop groups to group carrier services together so that they can be selected when shipping. Rate shop groups can also be used to restrict which carrier services are available to users in a particular location, division, or enterprise.
- Select Settings > Business Rules.
- Select Add Ruleset.
- From the Type menu, select Rate Shop Group.
- Enter a Name, Code, and Description for the rule.
- Under Assign To Page / Form, select which pages you want this group to appear on. The rate shop group will be listed on the carrier menu of the selected screens.
Note: The Advance Shipping option applies the rate shop group to orders that are processed through the Epic or McKesson pharmaceutical connectors. If you do not use those connectors, ignore this option. - Select who you wish this rate group to be available to. If you select Division or Location, choose the division(s) or location(s) you want to include.
- Enterprise: Everyone in your organization
- Division: Only users in specific divisions
- Location: Only users in specific locations
- Select Continue.
- On this screen you will select the services that you wish to allow the selected enterprise, division, or location users to access.
- From the Type menu, select Service.
- From the Carrier/Account menu, select the carrier account whose services you wish to allow.
- From the Service Level menu, select the service you wish to allow.
- If you wish to allow additional services under this same rule, select Save and Add Another Service and repeat step 8 for each additional service.
- When finished adding the services you wish to allow for this group, select Save and Close.
