"There was an error generating your label. There was an error in file handling of pdf format." message in PitneyShip, PitneyShip Pro, or PitneyShip Enterprise

Issue

When printing shipping labels, the message "There was an error generating your label. There was an error in file handling of pdf format." appears.

Cause

The default label settings have become corrupted and need to be reset.

Resolution

1. Select Settings > Print Options.
2. Uncheck Choose default printer and print format.
3. On the left side, click on Label Options, then click back on Print Options.
4. Check the Choose default printer and print format box again.
5. Click Refresh Printer List and select the desired printer from the Select Printer list.
6. Go back to the Create Shipping Label screen and try to print the shipping label.
