Setting up a custom non-rated carrier in PitneyShip Enterprise
A custom non-rated carrier is a carrier that allows you to track packages for the purpose of for accountability without being a rated carrier. This can be used for couriers, your own mailroom delivery, etc.

A non-rated ("no rate") carrier is an internal, custom carrier that does not rate (price) shipments. These may be your own mailroom personnel, inter-office couriers, or third-party package distribution partners that are not standard carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or DHL Express.
- Custom non-rated carriers cannot be used when printing labels from the Ship Orders screen.
- You can enter an optional custom charge on the rating screen if needed.
- You can enter your own tracking numbers if needed. Tracking numbers must be unique.
- You can only print 4 x 6 labels for custom non-rated carriers.
- You can only reprint custom non-rated carrier labels once.
- When using the Unified View package tracking feature for PitneyTrack Enterprise and PitneyShip Enterprise, a custom non-rated ("no rate") carrier must be set up specifically for that purpose using the Integrate with Receiving setting.
- Select Settings > Carriers.
- Select Add Carrier.
- If necessary, select More Carrier(s).
- From the Select Carrier menu, select NORATE.
- In the Carrier Display Name field, enter a name for the account.
- If you are setting up this carrier for the Unified View package tracking feature (PitneyShip Enterprise only), select Integrate with Receiving.
- Under Access Level, select which divisions and locations will have access to this account:
- Enterprise: All divisions and locations
- Division: Select the desired divisions
- Location: Select the desired locations
- Roles: Select the desired roles (PitneyShip Enterprise only)
- Complete any of the optional fields if needed.
- Select Add Carrier.
