Partial printing issue on the JZ20 label stock in PitneyShip, PitneyShip Pro, or PitneyShip Enterprise

Learn how to resolve a partially printed label on the JZ20 printer.
Products affected: PitneyShip®, PitneyShip® Pro, PitneyShip® Enterprise

Issue

When printing a label to the JZ20 printer, the top of the label is printed on the bottom two inches of the die-cut label stock, while the rest of the label is blank. This affects all carriers and the Windows Test page.

The label stock gap is lining up correctly with each print.

Cause

The printer may need to be recalibrated.

Resolution

Recalibrate the JZ20 label printer.

  1. Open Devices and Printers.
  2. On the General tab, select Preferences.
  3. In the Printing Preferences, select the Tools tab.
  4. Select Command Type - Action and Command Name - Calibrate Media. These should already be selected by default.
  5. Click Send in the lower right.
  6. To test, reprint a label, or process a new shipment.
