Adding and editing global surcharges on the SendPro MailCenter 1000, 2000, and 3000

You can create global surcharges or apply surcharges to every transaction your meter processes.

Adding a global surcharge

1. Select Manage Accounts from the Home screen.
2. Select Surcharges.
3. Select which type of surcharge you want to add. Choose from:
   • Amount per transaction.
   • Amount per mailpiece.
   • Percent by mailpiece.
4. Set the appropriate value in the field provided.
   1. Select an amount above zero if you want to add to the postage amount for the mailpiece or transaction.
   2. Select a minus amount below zero if you want to subtract from the postage amount for the mailpiece or transaction.
5. Set the value of the surcharge you want to add.
6. Select OK.
7. Select Done to return to the Home screen.

Editing a global surcharge

1. Select Manage Accounts from the Home screen.
2. Select Surcharges.
3. Select Edit for the relevant surcharge.
4. Enter your desired changes and confirm with OK.
5. To edit a surcharge value, select Edit.
   1. Type in the appropriate value in the field provided.
      • Select an amount above zero if you want to add to the postage amount for the piece or mail or transaction.
      • Select a minus amount below zero if you want to subtract from the postage amount for the piece of mail or transaction.
   2. Select OK.
6. Select Done to apply your changes and return to the Home screen.

Note: Existing jobs will not be updated with the global surcharge. Only new mail run jobs will include the global surcharge.
