Products affected: PitneyShip® Pro

New Features

USPS and DHL Express package drop-off locations

We've added a new feature that lets users choose designated drop-off locations for USPS and DHL Express packages.

Users can filter by ZIP Code and Radius to find the nearest drop-off location. Clicking the Search button will display the results. The ZIP Code field is mandatory; an error message will appear if it is not filled in when the Search button is clicked. The default search radius is set to 5 miles.

Ship Request - Additional Surcharge capability

We've added the ability to see Additional Surcharges in the Ship Request workflow. When a Ship Requestor uses Rate Shop, they can view Handling Charges and User Charges along with the base rates.

After processing or fulfilling a Ship Request (printing the Shipping Label), the user will see the surcharge according to the latest settings.

Automate weight input

The new feature will automate the process of entering package weight data into the designated weight field. When a package is on the scale, and a user creates a shipping label, the system automatically captures and records the weight from connected digital scales.

Automatic Schedule Export for Single Sign-On (SSO) users

We've added a feature to schedule automatic exports for SSO User Export. Users can view, edit, and delete scheduled exports from the Schedule Automatic Export task scheduler by clicking the Scheduled Exports tab. The status of these exports will be visible on the History screen under the Scheduled Exports tab. Users can set the date and time for exports, add SFTP details for server uploads, and configure email addresses to receive notifications if an automatic export fails.

Enhancements

Stamp roll SL-SPM02 removed for QL-800 printer

Users can no longer use the SL-SPM02 stamp roll with the QL-800 printer. The SL-SPM02 roll was previously used to print IBI-Lite Indicia, but it is now non-compliant with USPS regulations, and users will need to switch to the SL-SPM12 stamp roll. The option to set SL-SPM02 as the default has been removed for those who had previously saved it.

These changes will be reflected in the Stamp Options screen, where an informational message will appear: "To comply with USPS standards, we have updated our stamp format." Additionally, under Shipping and Mailing > Stamp Rolls > Print Options, the option to select the old SL-SPM02 stock for the QL-800 printer has been removed.

Address book import - increased file size capacity

We increased the file size limit for automatic Address Book imports from 10 to 50 MB.

Data retention - Customized retention period

We are now offering more flexible data retention options. Instead of just fixed periods like 2 or 7 years, users can set retention based on specific day counts, such as 90 or 180 days. We've updated the Data Download page to allow users to configure and view these detailed settings.
