"JavaScript runtime error: 'JSON' is undefined" message in PlanetPress

Issue

The PB Retrieve page plugin is failing. The log shows "W3602 : Error 0 on line 3806, column 5: JavaScript runtime error: 'JSON' is undefined".

Cause

This error is caused by the Windows 11 24H2 update executing a Run Script task.

Resolution

Have your IT department perform the following steps:

  1. Launch the Windows Group Policy Editor.
  2. Select Computer Configuration >Administrative Template > Windows Components > Internet Explorer.
  3. Open Replace JScript by loading JScript9Legacy in place of JScript and select Disabled.
  4. Select Apply > OK.
  5. Close all group policy windows.
