General Options settings in the ParcelPoint Self-Service Sending Kiosk

An administrator can edit the General Options to customize the kiosk behavior, like enabling or disabling the kiosk or setting its working hours.

An administrator can edit the General Options settings to customize the kiosk behavior, like enabling or disabling the kiosk or setting its working hours.

Enabling or disabling the kiosk

Enable the kiosk to make it ready for user transactions.

  1. Select Settings > General Options.
  2. If necessary, select your location.
  3. If necessary, select the desired kiosk.
  4. Select the Kiosk Availability tab.
  5. Under Enable Kiosk, set the toggle to ON to enable the kiosk.
  6. To disable the kiosk, set the toggle to OFF.
  7. Select Save Settings.

Setting the working hours of the kiosk

You can set the kiosk to be available to users twenty four hours a day, seven days a week or for specific days and hours.

  1. Select Settings > General Options.
  2. If necessary, select your location.
  3. If necessary, select the desired kiosk.
  4. Select the Kiosk Availability tab.
  5. Under Working Hours, select either:
    1. The Working everyday 24/7 button or
    2. The Set custom working custom hours button.
  6. If you selected the Set custom working custom hours option, set the days and times you want the kiosk to be available.
  7. Select Save Settings.

Setting Return to Home on inactivity

You can set the time the kiosk takes to return to the Home screen after inactivity.

  1. Select Settings > General Options.
  2. If necessary, select your location.
  3. If necessary, select the desired kiosk.
  4. Select the Functionality Settings tab.
  5. Under Return to Home on Inactivity, set the time in minutes that you want the kiosk to return to the Home screen after use.
  6. Select Save Settings.

Enabling or disabling the photo option

Enable this option if you want the kiosk to take a photo of users when they print shipping labels or stamps.

  1. Select Settings > General Options.
  2. If necessary, select your location.
  3. If necessary, select the desired kiosk.
  4. Select the Functionality Settings tab.
  5. Set the Capture User Photo toggle to ON to take a photo of the person using the kiosk.
  6. To disable the photo option, set the toggle to OFF.
  7. Select Save Settings.

Enabling or disabling the signature option

Enable this option if you want a user to add their signature when they print shipping labels or stamps.

  1. Select Settings > General Options.
  2. If necessary, select your location.
  3. If necessary, select the desired kiosk.
  4. Select the Functionality Settings tab.
  5. Set the Capture User Signature toggle to ON to collect a digital signature of the person using the kiosk.
  6. To disable the signature option, set the toggle to OFF.
  7. Select Save Settings.
