Graphics and permit-only printing on the SendPro MailCenter 1000, 2000, and 3000
Products affected: SendPro® MailCenter 1000, SendPro® MailCenter 2000, SendPro® MailCenter 3000
If you have a graphics and permit-only printing system, you have a fully-featured SendPro MailCenter system with a deactivated meter, which prevents postage printing. Graphics and permit-only systems can run non-postal jobs as well as utilize sealing and optional accounting features with no meter charges.
Although a mailing and shipping graphics and permit-only system cannot print postage, the USPS still requires an electronic inspection of the meter. Periodically, the message Postal Inspection Required appears. You can check your balance at Pitney Bowes to satisfy this requirement. See Checking your balance at Pitney Bowes.
Running mail
With a graphics and permit-only system you can:
- Print the correct date on a mailpiece that already has postage printed on it.
- Print the received date and time on incoming mail for record keeping.
- Print a graphic on the envelope.
- Print a permit on a mailpiece.
- Seal envelopes without printing postage.
- Count how many mailpieces you run.
- Track the mail you run with the optional integrated accounting feature.
Note:
- If the default job on your system is a postal job, the Low Funds warning appears each time you open Run Mail. Change the default job to a job that does not print postage (e.g. Permit or Graphic ad only) to prevent this message from appearing.
- The following message appears on the Run Mail screen Alert 1 of 1: Funds Manager: PSD funds available are below monetary limit set by user in FM Refill Setup screen. You can ignore this message on graphics and permit-only printing systems.
