Using the combined ZIP Code and Customer Reference Number barcode label on the SendPro MailCenter 1000, 2000, and 3000
You can use the combined ZIP Code and Customer Reference Number barcode label as part of an Electronic Return Receipt (ERR) job.

You can use the combined ZIP Code and Customer Reference Number barcode label as part of an Electronic Return Receipt (ERR) job.
Important: The barcode scanner must be programmed if you want to scan a combined barcode label that contains the Destination ZIP Code and Customer Reference Number.
- In order to use ERR, you should have a Bulk Proof of Delivery - Form 5053 on file with the USPS and been given a 6 or 9-digit USPS Mailer ID. You must enter this number when using ERR.
- ERR is available when you use the Attached Scale or Manual Weight entry modes.
- Select Run Mail from the Home screen.
- Place a mailpiece of mail on the scale.
- Select Class.
- Select the class, for example, Priority Mail Commercial.
- Select the mailpiece type, for example, Envelope or package.
- Enter the Destination ZIP or Zone code. Select This is a ZIP.
- Select the Electronic Certified special service from the Extra services list and then enter the tracking number.
- Scan the next tracking label you are using. If you have used all of the labels in a series of tracking number labels, make sure you start with the top label with the lowest last 4-digits and not the bottom label with the highest last 4-digits.
- Select Next.
- Select Electronic Return Receipt from the Extra services list.
- Select Skip and then select OK.
- Scan the combined barcode label. The Destination ZIP Code and Customer Reference Number appears on the left of the screen.
- Select Tape to print a tape. To print an envelope, select Start.
- If necessary, select an account.
- The meter asks if you want to print a receipt after every mailpiece. Select the desired option.
- The meter asks if you want to track another package. If you have finished processing mail, select No. If you want to continue:
- Select Yes, same class & service to continue.
- Enter the ZIP Code. Select OK.
- Select Clear, and then scan the next tracking label you want to use.
- Select Next.
- Scan the combined barcode label.
- Repeat steps 12 - 15.
- Once the job is complete, the meter asks to upload your records. Select Yes, upload now.
