PitneyShip Enterprise Release Notes version 1.128.0 (July 16, 2026)
Products affected: PitneyShip® Enterprise
What's New
HP Driver Carrier integration
Product applications now support HP Driver as a carrier in the United States, allowing users to create and manage HP Driver shipments directly within their existing VirtueScript/VPL shipping workflow. Users can generate shipping labels, track shipments, cancel eligible shipments, and receive shipment status updates without manual intervention.
The integration also synchronizes shipment confirmation and tracking information with the user's McKesson pharmacy system, helping keep shipping and dispensing workflows aligned. Shipment details are automatically written back to McKesson after successful shipment creation, and all write-back activities are logged for auditing purposes. This enhancement supports the full HP Driver shipment lifecycle, including shipment creation, tracking, cancellation, and confirmation.
Latest Updates
Responsive menu improvements for smaller screens
This enhancement improves the menu experience for users accessing the application on mobile phones, iPads, and other small-screen devices. Previously, the menu was not fully responsive, which could cause display issues and make navigation difficult. In some cases, selecting a menu option did not automatically display its sub-menu items, requiring users to manually refresh the page to view additional options.
With this update, the menu automatically adjusts to different screen sizes for a smoother and more user-friendly experience. When a menu option is selected, its related sub-menu options now expand directly below it, eliminating the need to refresh the page and making navigation easier and more intuitive.
Enhanced USPS Stamps History page
We have updated the USPS Stamps History page to make it easier for users to identify recipients and track eligible stamp transactions. A new Recipient Address section now displays the recipient’s name or business name, when available, providing greater visibility into stamp usage.
In addition, a new USPS Tracking Number column has been added for stamp transactions that include tracking information. Tracking numbers are now displayed as clickable links, allowing users to quickly open the USPS tracking page in a new browser tab and view the latest shipment status. These enhancements make it easier to locate recipient details and access tracking information directly from the Stamps History page.
Updated USPS Package images across Shipping workflows
We have refreshed the USPS-branded package images across key shipping workflows to provide a more consistent and modern user experience. All affected areas now display the latest USPS package assets, ensuring a uniform look and feel throughout the application.
Shipping Label expiration warning
To help users avoid issues with expired shipping labels, we have added a new expiration warning to both the Email Label modal and Email Label notification emails. The message clearly informs users that shipping labels expire 24 hours after they are generated and encourages them to print or save the label promptly.
The warning is now displayed in the Email Label modal for all carriers. In addition, shipping label notification emails include the same expiration notice next to the label link or attachment, ensuring recipients are aware of the 24-hour expiration window and can take action before the label expires.
Expanded Payment Method management for UPS and FedEx PB Rate accounts
Division Admins and Location Admins can now view and update payment methods for eligible UPS and FedEx PB Rate accounts directly within the application. The Payment Methods page is now available to these administrator roles, providing greater visibility and control over carrier account payment settings.
In addition, after a UPS or FedEx PB Rate account has been activated, Division and Location Admins can add new payment methods as needed. This enhancement simplifies carrier account management, reduces administrative effort, and helps ensure payment information remains up to date.
Enhanced Recipient Address saving preference
The Always save new recipient addresses while creating a shipping label preference has been enhanced, providing a more consistent recipient address management experience across both fulfillment and shipping workflows.
The preference remains disabled by default but can be enabled by users who want new recipient addresses to be saved automatically during shipment creation. When enabled, any newly entered recipient address is automatically added to the address book, eliminating the need for manual saving. When disabled, recipient addresses are not saved automatically, giving users greater control over which addresses are stored. This enhancement helps streamline address management while supporting different user preferences and business needs.
Enhanced Carrier preferences experience
The Carrier Preferences experience has been redesigned to provide a more consistent, intuitive, and efficient way to manage carrier and carrier account settings. The carrier list now features an accordion-style layout that makes navigation easier, while updates to button styling, naming, spacing, and preference descriptions create a more unified experience across the application. Additional tooltips have also been added to help users better understand available Edit and Preferences actions.
Several usability improvements have been introduced to simplify carrier management. Pagination controls are now displayed only when needed, reducing unnecessary screen elements for smaller carrier lists. Shipment Limit indicators have also been enhanced to clearly identify unavailable carrier accounts. When a shipment limit is reached, the related status controls are disabled and an Inactive status badge is displayed. In addition, carrier accounts cannot be reactivated if the associated carrier remains inactive.
This only applies to the warehouse fulfillment version of PitneyShip Enterprise.
Expanded Return Label preference for fulfillment users
The Always Show Include Return Label Options preference is now available. Administrators can enable this setting in Defaults to display the Include Return Label option during order shipment creation, allowing users to add a return label and use the configured default return address.
When disabled, the Include Return Label option is hidden, and return shipments continue to use the existing return address settings. If no default settings are configured, the application automatically uses the existing Returns settings for return label processing.
Purolator Freight ZPL Document Support
The Purolator Freight integration now supports ZPL (Zebra Programming Language) output for carrier-supported shipping documents. Users can generate Purolator Freight shipping labels and eligible Bill of Lading (BOL) documents in ZPL format, making it easier to print directly to thermal printers without requiring document conversion or manual formatting.
For multi-piece freight shipments, a separate ZPL label is generated for each package to ensure accurate identification and handling throughout the shipping process.
This only applies to the warehouse fulfillment version of PitneyShip Enterprise.
