Enhanced DeviceHub Update controls for Administrators
DeviceHub update management has been enhanced to give Enterprise Administrators full control over DeviceHub updates across their organization. Previously, users could manually check for and install DeviceHub updates even when the Turn off DeviceHub automatic update for all users setting was enabled on the My Devices page.
With this enhancement, enabling the Turn off DeviceHub automatic update for all users setting prevents users from updating DeviceHub both automatically and manually. When users select Check for Updates, DeviceHub now displays a message instructing them to contact their administrator for assistance.
Enterprise Administrators will see an additional message indicating that the latest DeviceHub version can be downloaded from the web application. This change helps organizations maintain greater control over software updates and ensure updates are managed according to company policies.
