Enhanced DeviceHub Access and Permission Controls
This enhancement introduces role-based access management for DeviceHub, giving Enterprise Administrators greater control over which users can access and use DeviceHub functionality. A new Allow Usage of DeviceHub permission has been added and is enabled by default for existing users who already have DeviceHub access, ensuring a seamless transition.
Enterprise Administrators can now enable or disable DeviceHub access for users assigned to standard or custom roles. When this permission is disabled, users cannot use DeviceHub for mailing operations, DeviceHub printers are removed from available print options, DeviceHub-related notifications are hidden, and DeviceHub-dependent features such as Get Weight and Scale options are no longer displayed in applicable mailing workflows. Users attempting to use DeviceHub-required features, such as printing Stamp Rolls or Envelopes, will see a message directing them to contact their administrator for access.
This release also includes updated DeviceHub permission names to improve usability and consistency, while maintaining existing functionality. The enhancement is part of a phased rollout and lays the foundation for future DeviceHub permission controls within shipping workflows.
