Managing contacts with granular permissions
Contact Management now supports granular, role-based permissions, giving administrators more control over contact-related actions. Instead of granting full contact management access, administrators can assign specific permissions for tasks such as creating, editing, deleting, importing, exporting, and managing shared or private contacts. Users can perform only the actions allowed by their assigned role, and the interface automatically displays or hides options based on those permissions. For example, users who can manage private contacts but not shared contacts can create and update private contacts only. This enhancement improves security, supports more flexible role management, and helps ensure that users have access only to the contact management functions they need.
Controlling cost account access and settings by role
Administrators can now assign separate permissions for specific cost account tasks, allowing greater control over how cost accounts are managed across the organization. Access can be granted individually for creating, updating, deleting, importing, exporting, and configuring cost accounts, so users only see the functions required for their role. Cost account settings can also be managed independently, making it easier to control account structures, rules, and related configuration options. This enhancement supports stronger governance, reduces unnecessary access to sensitive cost account functions, and helps organizations create role-based access models that align with operational and financial requirements.

Improved mobile experience for Create Shipping Label - Rate Shop
The Create Shipping Label - Rate Shop screen now automatically adjusts to fit mobile devices, tablets, and other small screens, making it easier to use wherever you access the application. Previously, some screen elements were not optimized for smaller displays, which could make navigation more difficult. With this update, carrier service options remain visible and easy to select, while the Ship On and Ship From fields automatically reposition to fit the available space. To improve readability, the Carrier & Service, Deliver By, and Price column headings are hidden on smaller screens, and the Total section is left-aligned with the Choose Service and Cancel buttons displayed below it. These changes provide a cleaner layout, improve accessibility, and create a more consistent shipping experience across all devices.
Using FedEx Express Freight services
You can now rate, process, and ship freight packages using FedEx 1Day Freight, FedEx 2Day Freight, and FedEx 3Day Freight services directly in the application. The system now applies freight-specific validation and rating rules instead of standard parcel shipment rules, helping ensure that freight shipments are processed correctly. Previously, valid freight shipments could be rejected because they were evaluated against parcel shipment size restrictions. With this update, freight shipments are validated using FedEx freight requirements, including freight-specific dimension, weight, length, and girth limits. This improves rating accuracy, supports eligible freight shipments during rate shopping and shipment processing, and helps prevent valid freight shipments from being incorrectly rejected.
Managing contacts and cost accounts with role-based permissions
Contact Management and Cost Account Management now use granular role-based permissions, giving administrators more control over what users can view and do. Administrators can independently manage permissions for contact-related tasks such as creating, editing, deleting, importing, exporting, and managing shared or private contacts, as well as cost account tasks such as creating, editing, deleting, importing, exporting, and configuring cost account settings. Shipping workflows now honor these permissions across key shipping screens, so users only see and access the contact and cost account functions assigned to their role. This enhancement helps organizations create roles that match business requirements, improves security by limiting access to authorized functions, and provides a simpler user experience by displaying only the actions relevant to each user.
