Managing passwords on the SendPro CX Series
Create a security password (or PIN) to prevent unauthorised use of your device.
Products affected: SendPro® CX 100, SendPro® CX 200, SendPro® CX 300 and SendPro® CX 500
Create a security password (or PIN) to prevent unauthorised use of your device.
If you created a security password when you installed your device, you must enter it when you turn your device on or after it enters sleep mode.
Only Administrator role users can enable or disable passwords.
Enable passwords
- Tap Settings.
- Tap User Management.
- Tap Password Settings.
- Tap to move the slider from off to on.
- Tap Yes, i'm sure when asked, Enable password protection?
- Set the password settings by tapping on the blue text and selecting or entering your preferences and tap Continue.
- Enter your chosen password and re-enter password and tap Continue. This password is for you as an administrator user.
- You can choose whether the password is set up for all users, disable accounts and reset passwords individually or let users set up their own password on next login and tap Continue.
Follow the prompts on screen.- If you select single password for all users, enter the user password, re-enter and tap Apply.
- If you select Disable accounts and reset passwords individually, all user accounts will be temporarily disabled and all passwords must be set Individually from User settings before next login. Tap Go to User Settings after setup.
- If you select Let users set their own password on next login, users will be prompted to set up their own password the next time they log in. Tap Apply.
- When the password(s) have been applied each user will be required to enter their password at login.
Disable the password
- Tap Settings.
- Tap User Management.
- Tap Password Settings.
- Tap to move the slider from on to off.
- Tap Yes, i'm sure when asked, Disable password protection?
Manually lock your device
Log out of your device to lock it.
- Tap the user profile image.
- Tap Log Off. The user log in screen appears.
