Installing the SendPro CX 100, SendPro CX 200, SendPro CX 300
Products affected: SendPro® CX 100, SendPro® CX 200 and SendPro® CX 300 (8V models)
Follow these instructions to install a SendPro CX 100, SendPro CX 200, SendPro CX 300 for the very first time.
If you have a SendPro CX 500 the installation of your machine will be facilitated by Pitney Bowes. If you have not received communication regarding your SendPro CX 500 installation within a few days of delivery, please contact your sales representative to arrange this.

Before you begin
Before you begin the installation of your new SendPro CX 100, SendPro CX 200, SendPro CX 300:
Set up your postage payment method
Pitney Bowes offers different options to pay for postage for mailing and shipping. You must set up how you are going to pay for postage before you can use your device. For more information visit paying for postage.
Choose your connection type

Get account and password information
To set up your device, you need:
- The email address and password that you use to sign into Your Account on Pitney Bowes.
- If you need to set up Your Account, use a browser on your computer to visit Your Account and click Register Now.
To print shipping labels you need:
- Your PitneyShip email address and password for that account.
- If you have logged into Your Account on Pitney Bowes, or if you have used PitneyShip to send a package, you can link to that account and use that email address and password.
- If you do not have a shipping label account, you have the option of creating one during the installation.
Open the box
In the box you will find:
- SendPro CX.
- Scale.
- Printhead.
- Ink Cartridge.
- LAN / Internet Cable.
- Power Cord.
- Tape Sheets.
Unpack the device
- Remove the device and all items from the box.
- Important: Be sure to grab hold of the entire feeder, not just the moistener flap when lifting the device out of the box.
- Do not connect your device to a power source yet.
- Remove all packing materials from the device.
Install the printhead
- Open the cover to access the ink carriage.
- Remove the packing tape from the ink carriage.
- Open the ink carriage guard.
- Unwrap the printhead and remove the protective strip.
- Squeeze the tabs and slide the printhead pegs into the lower set of grooves.
Important: This step is critical to prevent device damage. - Keep squeezing the tabs and push the printhead flush against the wall. The tabs snap outward when you place the printhead correctly.
Install the ink cartridge
- Unwrap the ink cartridge and remove the silver foil strip from the ink cartridge.
- Install the ink cartridge and close the guard.
- Close the cover.
Connect the device to a power source
Connect the device to a power source. Tap the power button.
Follow the installation instructions on the device
- Wait for the device to start up.
- Select your language from the drop down menu.
- Tap Get Started on the touchscreen and continue the installation steps on the screen.
Software Setup
The on screen installation instructions consist of around 30 screens. The expected installation time from this point is around 50 minutes. This section offers an explanation of the screens you may see during the installation process.
Printing- Check that the printer in your device is working correctly by printing a test print.
Connectivity- Choose your connection method to the internet.
Wired connection requires you to connect your device using the provided internet cable.
Wireless connection does not require the internet cable. Tap Wireless Network Settings and select your network.
The device will connect and display successful connections. Tap Continue.
Software updates- The device will perform checks and automatically upload the most up to date software updates available.
Restoring settings from an old meter- If you are installing a upgraded or replacement new device you can restore previous settings from your old Pitney Bowes meter to the new. Tap Restore from backup to do this or tap Setup New Device if you want to set up as new or if this is your first Pitney Bowes meter.
Time Zone- Select your time zone.
Connect to Your Account for mailing- Go to pitneybowes.com/youraccount on a computer or scan the QR code on your mobile device to log into Your Account. This is essential to be able to print postage. Tap Continue.
Sign into your Shipping Account- If you have a shipping account, sign in to enable printing labels. You can skip this section if you do not use a shipping account.
Install the scale- Tap on the scale that you are using and follow the installation prompts. Then add your scale location code and tap Apply. You can skip this section of the installation process if you do not have a scale.
Moistener- Fill the moistener tank to enable sealing.
External Printer- If you have an external label or report printer, select the relevant installation instructions to connect it now. You may continue without installing a printer if you do not have an external printer.
Envelope stacker- Position the envelope stacker to collect dispensed and printed envelopes and tap Continue.
Adding postage- Add postage to your mailing account before you can print postage on envelopes or tape strips. Enter the amount and tap Continue. This may take a minute. When postage is successfully added tap Continue.
Set your Postage Refill Settings- Set your default refill amount and low postage threshold and you can set an alert when postage is low. Then tap Apply Settings.
Sleep mode- Set a sleep mode automatic timeout to save energy from the drop down and tap Apply Settings.
Profiles- Administrators can set up user profiles and log ins for individuals. Tap Enable User Profiles to use this feature.
Password settings- You can also set up passwords for profiles. Tap Use Passwords and set the password settings for your device and all profiles.
Administrator password- Set up an administrator password for Admin user profiles.
Installation Complete- Your device is now set up and ready to use. Tap Got It to start printing postage or labels.
