Latest Updates

Redesigned My Devices experience

The My Devices page has been renamed Printers & Scales and redesigned to make DeviceHub setup and device management easier. New users and users without DeviceHub receive guidance on installing, checking compatibility, and activating DeviceHub, based on their permissions. Existing users can manage DeviceHubs and connected printers, scales, and dimensioners through separate Devices and Settings & Downloads tabs. The updated experience makes it easier to identify the DeviceHub associated with the current computer, view online and offline status, refresh device information, and manage DeviceHub details and sharing settings. Users can also view printer details, check PitneyShip Cube firmware versions, and access available updates and support resources. Admins continue to have access to existing DeviceHub update and cleanup settings, along with tools such as the Compatibility Checker and bulk printer alias management where applicable.

DeviceHub installer and Compatibility Checker combined for Windows

The DeviceHub installer and Compatibility Checker are now combined into one streamlined installation experience. When users select Download DeviceHub, the combined installer downloads and automatically checks the internet connection and required network settings before installation. The separate Download Compatibility Checker option has been removed, and the network checks are now available to all applicable users.

If an internet or network check fails, DeviceHub provides an error message and troubleshooting guidance, including proxy configuration options when needed. After all checks pass, users can sign in, activate DeviceHub, and begin using the application. Users can also rerun these checks at any time by selecting Settings > Run DeviceHub Network Diagnostics. Existing prerequisite checks, help content, and PitneyShip Cube and DeviceHub installer functionality for Windows remain unchanged.

Simplified DeviceHub activation for Mac Safari users

DeviceHub activation is now easier for PitneyShip and PitneyShip Pro users on Mac using Safari. Users can activate DeviceHub by simply signing in to the DeviceHub application, without using certificate-based activation. The Activate button and related certificate instructions have been removed from the DeviceHub page for these users as certificate-based activation is gradually phased out.
