 Learn how to import a mailing list in ConnectRight Mailer. When you begin using ConnectRight Mailer, the first step will be to import a mailing list. You can have an unlimited number of mailing lists in the software and may process each one separately.

  1. Select Import mail list.
  2. Click Browse beside File to import.
  3. Locate the required file and select Open. Supported file types include: dBase III, FoxPro, Delimited, Fixed length, Excel and Access 2000-2003.
    1. If you selected a dBase III, FoxPro, Excel, or Access file, the File type will be selected for you.
    2. If you selected a delimited or fixed length file, you may have to identify the type in the File type menu.
  4. Click Next.
  5.  When you import an Excel or Access workbook, the first worksheet or table is chosen by default. If the file has multiple worksheets, click the Worksheet menu to pick the one you want to import.
    1. Click the checkbox if the worksheet has a header row and click Next.
  6. Select Next
  7. Select your Field layout and mapping options: 
    1. Select the Field mapping menu to map the field to the appropriate type.
    2. Select Unmapped to import the field without a type.
    3. Select <do not import> to exclude a field from the import.

  8. Click Next.
  9. (Optional) Click Save to name and store the definitions file for future imports.
    1. Go to the required file location, enter a name for your definitions file and click Save.
  10. Select Import.

Your list is now imported and ready for use.

To begin a new import or to append to the imported list, click the Import button in the Process Definition window.
