Installing your FD85 (Martin Yale 1812) Folder

The following steps will take you through the initial set up of all the essential hardware installation. The related topics at the bottom of this article contain information on setting up and using your FD85 (Martin Yale 1812) Folder.
Power Cord Connection
Plug the power cord into the power connection on the FD85 (Martin Yale 1812) Folder.
Important note: Do not connect your FD85 (Martin Yale 1812) Folder to a power source until the end of set up.
Fold Table Installation
Both fold table assemblies are the same, and you can install them into either the first or second fold table positions.
To install the fold tables, refer to the location illustration below.
- Slide the front slot opening of the fold table onto the inner set of pins (closest to the folding rollers).
- Lower the fold table onto the outer set of pins with a light amount of downward pressure. There will be a slight snapping action as the fold table drops into the detent position.
- Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the second fold table installation.
Table Extension installation
Your folder comes with two table extensions. One is used as an extension on the exit conveyor, the other on the feed table.
To install the extension onto the feed table:
- Align the locking tabs of the extension with the slots in the feed table.
- Squeeze the feed table and extension together nearest the tabs and slots until the two pieces snap together.
To install the Extension onto the Exit Conveyor:
- Align the tabs on the Extension with the slots provided in the Exit Conveyor as shown. No force is required to install the Extension - gravity will hold the Extension in place.
Power up
- Connect your FD85 (Martin Yale 1812) Folder power cable to the power supply and switch power supply on.
- Reach under the second fold table and turn on the power on your FD85 (Martin Yale 1812) Folder . When the power switch is turned on, the green power LED will illuminate.
Note the location of the power switch and fuse holder, which are on the same surface as the power cable connection, nearest the front of the folder.
