Setting the default scan type on the SendPro MailCenter 1000, 2000, and 3000

Set the default scan type to specify the type of account field the barcode scanner will search for when it scans the barcode. The scan type options available are:

• None: Use none if you do not want a default account type or if you will be scanning multiple fields.
• Account name: This can be any name you assign to an account, sub account or sub sub account.
• Account code: This is a unique code that you assign to identify the account, sub account or sub sub account.
• Job name: A job contains set values for such items as the account name, postage amount, class, an extra service, or mode such as Attached Scale or Differential weighing.
• Job ID 1and Job ID 2: Your accounting system can track mail runs using Job IDs.

1. Select Settings from the Home screen.
2. Select System.
3. Select Scanner Settings.
4. Select the Default Scan Type tab. Select which account field you want the scanner to search for when scanning the barcodes.
5. Select Home to return to the Home screen.
