Learn how to resolve the message "GOAPP is not an object" or "TOAPP is not an object" when opening SendSuite Arrival.
Products affected: SendSuite® Arrival®

Issue

When opening SendSuite® Arrival®, the message "GOAPP is not an object" or "TOAPP is not an object" is displayed.

Cause

There are communication issues between the Arrival client workstation and the server.

Resolution

  1. Right-click on the Arrival shortcut on the desktop and select Properties.
  2. Copy the text in the Start in field.
  3. Close the Arrival shortcut Properties window.
  4. Select the Windows Start button.
  5. In the search box, paste the text you copied and press Enter. The shared folder on the server should open.
  • If the shared folder does not open, this indicates an issue with the client and server communication. Contact your IT department for assistance.
  • If the shared folder in the server location opens:
  1. Open arw-set.exe from the server location.
  2. Sign in to the system.
  3. Select FileUtilities.
  4. Select Make local ARW.EXE.
  5. Select the path on the local drive for the computer (do not try to set the arw.exe on the mapped drive or server location).
  6. When the DONE confirmation appears, select OK.
  7. Select FileUtilities.
  8. Select Make local ARW-SRV.EXE.
  9. Select the path on the local drive for the computer (do not try to set the arw.exe on the mapped drive or server location).
  10. Open Arrival. It should open without error.
You can also manually change the “start in” location to the server as long as you have the correct path to ARW.EXE:
  1. Right-click on the Arrival shortcut on the desktop and select Properties.
  2. In the Start in field, change the path to the ARW.EXE (for example: \\[servername]\Arrivalw\arw.exe).
