Installing and configuring HubCapp Peripheral Agent for SendPro Enterprise

Assumptions

All peripherals and target printers along with their associated drivers have been installed using the instructions included with the hardware.

Procedure

  1. Download and install HubCapp Peripheral Agent.
  2. Add a shortcut to the Startup folder:
    1. Open File Explorer then navigate to the HubCapp installation folder. The default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\HubCapp Peripheral Agent.
    2. Right-click on HubCapp Peripheral Agent.exe.
    3. Select Create Shortcut.
    4. At the prompt to create the shortcut on the desktop instead, click Yes.
    5. In File Explorer, go to C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
    6. Click and drag the shortcut created in step 2d to the Startup folder.
    7. At the confirmation prompt, click Continue.
  3. Double-click the shortcut to start HubCapp Peripheral Agent. An “H” icon will be displayed in the system tray (small icons near the clock).
  4. Right-click the HubCapp icon in the system tray and click Configure, or open a web browser and go to http://localhost:50000/Config.html. Once this page is open, it is recommended that it be bookmarked in the browser for easier access later.
  5. After the page loads, click Settings (gears in the upper right).
  6. Complete the form as follows:

  7. To change HubCapp settings, enter the new information into the appropriate field (Server Name, License Key, or Machine Name) and click Save.


Configuring a Scale or Pitney Bowes Dimensioner (QubeVu)

  1. Click the Scale tab.
  2. Complete the form as follows:

  3. Click Save to commit the settings.
  4. Use the Zero and Weigh buttons to verify connectivity.


Configuring Printers

  1. Click the Printers tab.
  2. Complete the form as follows:

  3. Click save to commit the settings.
  4. Use the Test Print buttons to verify functionality.


Configuring Documents (optional)

The Documents tab allows for sending specific document types to certain printers in the specified quantities. For example, each time a Commercial Invoice is generated, HubCapp may be set up to print a prescribed number of copies to a different printer than the Laser Document Printer configured in the Printers tab. This is an optional configuration.

  1. Click the Documents tab.
  2. Unless instructed otherwise, leave the Image Resize and Margin Settings values at their defaults.
  3. For each document type to be handled by a specific printer, enter the desired quantity, then select the Specific Printer.
  4. Click Save to commit the settings.


Configuring Labels (optional)

The Labels table allows for sending specific label types to certain printers in the specified quantities. For example, each time a Return Label is generated, HubCapp may be set up to print a prescribed number of copies to a different label printer than the Label Printer Format Printer configured in the Printers tab. This is an optional configuration.

  1. Click the Labels tab.
  2. For each label type to be handled by a specific printer, enter the desired quantity, select the Specific Printer from the list box, then select Zebra-ZPL from the Printer Format list box.
  3. Click Save to commit the settings.
