SendPro Enterprise version 8.43.0 Release Notes (June 17, 2021)

Note: Some changes affect all SendPro Enterprise users, while other changes affect licensed users only. If you are a subscriber, your SendPro Enterprise is hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud with the address https://name.sendproenterprise.com, where "name" is your organization's unique value. If you are a licensed user, your SendPro Enterprise is not hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud.

Headline Enhancements

The following headline enhancements have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

Shipping Apps. Added additional Zip code logic.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Added additional logic to determine whether the ZIP code is required in shipping apps. A more thorough list of countries has been implemented to determine whether a ZIP code is required for Ship From and Ship To addresses in the following apps:

• Personal Shipping App
• Certified Mail App
• Warehouse App*
• MailCenter App
• Desktop App
• Desktop Shipping App
• Deliv Same Day App

*in this app, updated logic to ensure the Rate button is disabled if any required fields are missing, This is inline with the MailCenter App

PB Shipping API. Outputs.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Implemented new output rules to control which document is requested when processing shipments through the PB Shipping API connectors. Updated output rules to be compliant with new USPS rules for domestic shipping when shipping with PB Shipping API. The new domestic rules will display on Custom forms for the following shipments:

• All Priority Mail Express shipments
• Shipments going to and from a Military APO/FPO
• packages going from the U.S. 50 States going to any of U.S. Territory/Freely Associated States (except Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands)
• Packages shipping from the US Virgin Islands, destined for any U.S. destination (State, Possession, or Territory)
• Packages from any U.S. Territory/Freely Associated States (except Puerto Rico) going to any point in the U.S., including the 50 states, U.S. Territories, and Freely Associated states

All of the above must meet the following conditions:

• Weigh less than 16 ounces and contain merchandise
• Weigh greater than or equal to 16 ounces and contain merchandise or documents

Note: At the time of this release there is a known issue with the PB Shipping API connector occasionally failing to return the correct document.

Carrier Changes

The following carrier changes have been implemented for SendPro Enterprise:

SaaS Transportation. Added support for Tracking functionality.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Tracking functionality is now supported when shipping using SaaS Transportation.

PB Shipping API. Updated Carrier Package Types to align with PB Shipping API standards.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The following Package Types have been updated:

• Amended Carrier Types:
  • First Class Large Envelope/Flat was Large Package is now First Class Large Envelope
  • Postcard is now International Letter
• New Carrier Types:
  • 10083 Nonmachineable Letter
  • 10084 International Nonmachineable Letter
  • 10085 Soft Pack Envelope
  • 10086 DVD Flat Rate Box
  • 10087 Irregular Package
  • 10088 Large Video Flat Rate Box

DHL XML-PI. Various Improvements.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The following improvements have been implemented:

• Updated Pierbridge Ship Request and Response to use v10.0 of DHL Ship Request
• Added new Export Reason codes to base data and mapped them to DHL codes
• Added support for following Carrier Special Services for rating and shipping:
  • Holiday Delivery
  • Saturday Pickup
  • Holiday Pickup
• Add support for DHL international address rules to decide City, PostCode and Suburb requirements for Sender and Receiver addresses for rating and shipping
• Added handling for remote area charges for rating and shipping
• Added emergency Situation charge to Additional Accessorial Charges

Other Changes

The following other changes have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

Administration App. Updates to Third Parties required fields.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

The Account field is no longer required when configuring Third Parties via the Administration App’s Carriers page.

UPS. Corrected handling of Canadian shipments.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Canadian shipments operating with the UPS Worldwide Express Saver service now function as expected. Previously, shipments failed with service code errors as the service is called UPS Express Saver in Canada.

Electric submission. Improved ordering of ERR reports.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The stored procedure used to return data for the USPS PS 3877 ERR report has been modified to order the data by ES Type and Article ID.

Onboarding API. Resolved issues when adding users.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

Adding users via the Onboarding API now functions as expected, where previously errors presented when performing user POST requests.

UPS API. Removed support for special service.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Support for the special service Delivery Confirmation - USPS Delivery Confirmation has been removed for UPS API as it is not supported by the carrier.

Reports. CSV versions of the Account Balance Report now function as expected.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The PB Shipping API - USPS Account Balance Report is now generated correctly as a CSV file. Previously, a CSV file containing no content was produced.

Data Management. Mappings now saved correctly for import templates.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Configured data mappings are now saved as expected for local import templates. Previously, issues with the retrieval of the entity list caused the mappings page to display as blank.

Shipping. Changes to Macedonia address code.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Updated the base data address code for Macedonia from The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to North Macedonia, correcting issues whereby shipments to the country failed.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

UPS Freight API. Corrected handling of hyphens.

Hyphens are now removed from NMFC codes passed to UPS Freight API when rating and shipping. Previously, errors presented from the carrier’s API when processing NMFC codes containing hyphens.

Consolidated shipping. FedEx Web Services future date shipments now function as expected.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

FedEx Web Services International Priority DirectDistribution® consolidated shipments configured for a future date now function as expected. Previously, the Ship Date field was not correctly mapped in the requests. In support, added a parameter to the Consolidated Trailer Administration snippet, Ship Date Control, determining where the Ship Date is retrieved from. If enabled, the Ship Date field from the advanced carrier selection area is used (accessed using the dropdown in the carrier selection area).

Desktop App. Desktop Shipping App (Undefined variable: GlobalVars.ERR).

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Ship To country field now defaults to country shown on initial App load. The Ship To field now defaults to the Ship From country shown on initial app load. In addition, the Country of Ultimate Destination now mirrors the Ship To country when shipping with the Desktop Shipping App .

Carrier rates. Corrected issue with carrier quotes being incorrectly stored.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

An issue has been corrected whereby quotes received from certain carriers were not being stored correctly, resulting in no charges or associated shipping costs being stored against the resulting shipment.

PB Shipping API. Corrected issue with incorrectly stored shipment timestamps.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Timestamps are now correctly stored when shipping with PB Shipping API.

SendPro Enterprise. Updated Dropbox Authentication Process.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Long Lived access tokens currently stored in the Database have been deprecated in favour of Short Lived access tokens but will remain as an option until mid 2021. If these tokens throw an exception for customers using them, they will be required to re-authenticate by selecting the dropbox icon in the Data Management App which creates a refresh token.
