Products affected: ShipAccel

There are different print settings and options depending upon what kind of printer you're using.

Print to PDF

The "Print to PDF" option is always available on the printer menu when printing shipping labels. When you choose this option, your labels open as a PDF that you can then print to any printer using your web browser's print function (File > Print or Ctrl+P).
"Print to PDF" on Select Printer menu

If "Print to PDF" is the only option on the printer menu, that means that DeviceHub has not yet been installed on any of your enterprise's computers (see below).

What is DeviceHub?

DeviceHub is a helper program that connects your printers and scales to ShipAccel.

Do I need DeviceHub?

  • You need DeviceHub to connect a scale to ShipAccel.
  • DeviceHub is optional for printing shipping labels. These can be printed using the Print to PDF option described above. however, if you want to print them directly to a printer, you must first install DeviceHub.

How do I install DeviceHub?

  • When you install DeviceHub, your printers and scales are shared in ShipAccel with other users in your enterprise (if you have a multi-user subscription). To install DeviceHub, see:
  • For DeviceHub technical requirements, see:
  • Once DeviceHub is installed, it will run in the background on your computer. You can manage it by right-clicking on the DH icon in the system tray (small icons by the clock).

Printing shipping labels

You can print shipping labels either to a PDF that you then print using your web browser's print function, or to a printer that is connected through DeviceHub, where they print directly to the printer. To print directly to a printer, you must first install DeviceHub.

The My Devices page

The My Devices page in ShipAccel shows a list of your enterprise's DeviceHubs (computers on which DeviceHub is installed) and the printers and scales that are connected to them. The status of each device is shown. By default the DeviceHub will have the computer's name; you can use the pencil icon to rename it if needed. This page also has the links to download and activate DeviceHub.
