PitneyShip Release Notes version 1.119.0 (January 7, 2026)
Products affected: PitneyShip®
What's New
Support for USPS 6x4 IMb Labels
We’ve added support for USPS 6x4 Intelligent Mail® Barcode (IMb) labels within First Class Mail for letters and envelopes. Users can now print these labels directly from the Stamps screen, and they include tracking, which is automatically available in the History page under the USPS Stamps tab. Print settings for 6x4 labels can be managed under Stamp Options, and both sender and recipient addresses are required. These shipments are non-refundable, and no action buttons will appear in History for them. After a successful label is generated, the confirmation message includes a link to Shipment History for easy access. Additionally, the Envelope 6x4 label size option is now available in stamp settings for default printer setup.
Latest Updates
Removed multi-piece shipments for UPS and FedEx PB Rate accounts
Multi-piece shipping is now disabled for UPS and FedEx PB rate accounts. As a result, the multi-piece tab on the Create Shipping Label screen will only show Non-PB Rate carrier accounts.
New guided onboarding
We’ve added a new onboarding flow to help first-time users set up PitneyShip easily. On your first login, you’ll see a Get Started screen and choose how you’ll use PitneyShip—printing labels, USPS stamps, or both. Based on your choice, you’ll complete three quick steps: check shipping rates, set up carriers and payment, and learn to print labels or stamps. Progress indicators show your status, and tutorials are available if needed. From your second login onward, you’ll go straight to the Create Shipping Label screen.
Updated Landing Page
We’ve updated the landing page for all PitneyShip users, regardless of plan type. Previously, users with an E-commerce plan were directed to the Ship Orders tab after login. Now, everyone will land on the Create Shipping Label tab, which is the most common starting point for shipping workflows. E-commerce plan users can still access the Ship Orders tab.
Enhanced savings visibility
We’ve improved the PitneyShip rate shopping experience by making postage savings more visible. Users can now see Pitney Bowes rates vs. retail rates for UPS and FedEx, just like USPS. Savings are clearly highlighted in the Rate Shop screen under the Price column, making it easy to compare and choose the best option. On the Create Shipping Label page, when a UPS or FedEx label is generated, the success message now includes the savings percentage. Additionally, the History page has a new Savings column to quickly review savings for each shipment across USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
Improved Shipping workflow with Save feature
We’ve enhanced the shipping workflow to make navigation smoother. Users can now save their entered information before switching to another page or tab and resume where they left off. When navigating away, a Save Changes? pop-up appears with two options:
- Save: Keeps all entered data so you can continue later.
- Discard: Clears the data before moving to the next screen.
