Mandatory Cost Account selection

Full Cost Account paths must be selected when using a parent-child hierarchy. This improves cost tracking across all shipping and mailing operations.
How it works:

An Admin must enable this setting:

  1. Go to Settings > Cost Accounts
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Use Cost Accounting
  4. Click Show Cost Account Hierarchy
  5. Click Require Cost Account Hierarchy
  6. Click Update

Once enabled, selecting the full account path is required to complete:

  • Shipping Labels
  • Ship Requests
  • Presets
  • ERR (Electronic Return Receipt)
  • Ship Orders
  • Stamp Sheets, Rolls, or Envelopes

FedEx MFA required for secure account access

FedEx has introduced Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to enhance security and comply with carrier requirements. Users must now verify their identity to access FedEx rates and print shipping labels.
Where to view:
  1. Go to Settings > Carriers in your account.
  2. Click Authenticate next to your FedEx account.
  3. Choose your authentication method and click Next.
  4. Complete the authentication within 30 minutes.

Discover nearby FedEx drop-off locations

Now you can quickly find nearby FedEx drop-off points by ZIP Code and radius filters, making it easier to drop off packages without the hassle of searching.
How it works:
  1. Go to Shipping & Mailing > Drop-Off Locations.
  2. Select FedEx as the carrier.
  3. Enter the ZIP Code.
  4. Choose your Search Radius.
  5. Click Search to see a list of available drop-off locations.

Save time with scheduled address exports

Automate address book exports and receive email alerts if any fail, helping you stay on top of your data.
How it works:
  1. Go to Settings > Address Book
  2. Click Export > Export Automatic Contacts
  3. Enter the Folder Path and SFTP URL
  4. Select the authentication option
  5. Add emails in the Notifications section
  6. Choose the date and time for export
  7. Click Save Configuration
  8. View/edit/delete exports in Task Scheduler > Automatic Export List

USPS services now support shipments to and from all U.S. territories, including Guam, Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, and more.
How it works:

This update applies to the following areas:

  • Shipping Workflows: Create Shipping Label, Create Ship Request, Create Presets.
  • Order Processing: Ship Orders (including Import CSV, Address Book), Single/Bulk Edit, and Single/Bulk Print.
  • ERR Processes: Certified Email, Ship Request, and Import.

Ensure export compliance with AES validation

A new Automated Export System (AES) Exemption validation ensures international shipments comply with export regulations.
Where to view:
  1. When creating an international shipping label, go to International Shipment Details.
  2. Click Add First Item, fill in the total item value, and click Save.
  3. Add customs details, select the AES Exemption, and click Save & Close.

This validation applies to all carriers and international shipments, helping you avoid errors with line-item values over $2,500.

Easily add tax info for FedEx international shipments

You can now add essential tax information, including VAT, GST, and EIN, for FedEx international shipments to ensure compliance and simplify your shipping process.
Where to view:
  1. When creating an international shipping label, click Add Customs.
  2. Enter the applicable tax information: VAT, GST, and EIN.
  3. Click Save & Close to apply the details.

Easily find USPS and DHL drop-off spots near you

A new feature makes it easier to find USPS and DHL Express drop-off locations nearby. Just enter a ZIP Code and choose a radius to search.
How it works:
  • Go to Shipping
  • Click Carrier Options
  • Select Find Drop-Off Locations

SSO exports now run on your schedule

Single Sign-On users can now schedule automatic user exports. You can set export timing, manage settings like SFTP uploads, and get notified if an export fails.
How it works:
  • Go to the Scheduled Exports tab
  • View or edit tasks in the Automatic Export scheduler
  • Check status from the History screen

View ship request surcharges

The Ship Request workflow now displays Additional Surcharges (Handling and User Charges) during Rate Shop alongside base rates. These surcharges will also be visible after processing or fulfilling the request.

  • Review surcharges listed

Automate weight input from digital scales

When using a connected scale, the system now pulls the weight automatically when you create a shipping label—no manual entry needed. This helps save time and reduce errors.

Using a QL-800? You’ll need a new stamp roll

The SL-SPM02 stamp roll is no longer compatible with QL-800 printers due to USPS rules. Use SL-SPM12 instead for uninterrupted printing.

Address book import now supports larger files

The file size limit for automated address book imports has been raised from 10 MB to 50 MB, giving you more flexibility when importing larger datasets.

Better address validation and delivery accuracy

Easily mark addresses as Residential during shipment with a checkbox. You can now also control Address Validation settings — make them optional or required — to ensure clean, accurate deliveries.
Where to view:
  1. Go to any shipping workflow to see the Residential checkbox.
  2. To update Address Validation settings, go to Settings > Admin Options > Address Verification.

New refund form mailing address

USPS Stamp Refund forms now use our updated address: 27 Waterview Drive, Shelton, CT 06484. Please discard the old Neenah, WI address.

Manage sender addresses in Presets

You can now include a Sender address when creating or editing a Preset. This gives you more control and flexibility when managing return addresses across your shipments.
How it works:
  1. Go to Presets and choose to create or edit a Preset.
  2. In the Sender section, you can:
    • Edit the current address and click Done.
    • Add a new address and click Done.
    • Select a different existing address.

Switzerland customs form now supports VAT ID

When shipping USPS international packages to Switzerland, you can now include an optional VAT ID on the customs form. It's case-sensitive, up to 15 characters, and not system-validated.

Users can now view complete visibility of notes in the Memo/Reference field for all ERR flows in USPS Stamps history, improving tracking and documentation.

Easy UPS returns with multipiece shipping

Create UPS multipiece return shipments easily by selecting Print Return Label or Include Return Label in your multipiece workflow. Choose between UPS or DHL Express for returns.
How it works:
  • You will see the Print Return Label special service in the Rate Shop window for UPS multipiece shipments.
  • For shipments originating from the US, the UPS Print Return Label only extra service checkbox has been disabled.
  • The Include Return checkbox will appear for UPS multipiece shipments.

Seamless returns with alternate addresses

You can now use a different return address for UPS, FedEx, and DHL Express shipments. Easily manage return addresses on labels and requests for more flexibility.
How it works:

Admins or users with the correct role can enable the "Alternate Return Address" feature. To activate:

  1. Go to Settings and click Roles.
  2. Click Edit next to the role you want to modify.
  3. Under the Sending tab, check the box to enable Alternate Return Address.

Complete tracking: from start to finish

Stay informed every step of the way with our complete tracking updates. We’ll notify you of any delays and provide updates even after delivery.
How it works:

Tracking events are updated on the Shipments History page, with new events shown in the Status column based on polling frequency. For the first few weeks, we’ll check multiple times a week for updates, and then gradually reduce the polling frequency until 88 days. If we haven’t received confirmation by then, a “Polling Threshold Exceeded” event will be triggered.

Simplified shipping budget management

Easily manage your shipping budget with our new Cost Account Budgeting feature. Set limits, track spending, and stay in control of your costs.
How it works:

If the cost exceeds the set budget, an error message will appear, and label printing will be blocked. Budgets are verified before shipment and reset based on your defined schedule (monthly, quarterly, or annually).

Apple Express integration

PitneyShip Enterprise users in Canada can now access Apple Express, offering more flexible shipping options and enhancing customer service for Canadian businesses.
How it works:
  1. Go to My Settings > Carriers.
  2. Click Add Carrier and select Add Apple Express Account.
  3. Enter the details and click Save.
  4. The option will be available for filtering on the Create Shipping Labels and Rate Shop screens.

Default sender address

When using shared presets, your default sender address is now automatically applied, ensuring smoother use across locations without manual changes.
How it works:
  • Create a shipping label with a shared preset.
  • The logged-in user's default sender address is applied automatically.
  • No manual address change needed—ensures consistency across locations.
  • Admins can manage shared presets easily, including editing or deleting them.
