SendSuite Live Release Notes for version 7.17.00 (May 4, 2017).
Products affected: SendSuite® Live

HEADLINE ENHANCEMENTS

This section describes the major new features or enhancements that are included in this release.

Shipping Administration. Added Code Column to Service Configuration for each Carrier

Administrators can now define each carrier’s service with a custom code in Shipping Administration’s Locations screen under Carrier Service Configuration. The code is not currently used by any project template; it is returned in the List Response, and can be used solely in a blackbox environment.

Updated the XML schema files to accommodate this change. See the XML Schema Changes section of these release notes.

Outputs. Shipping Administration. Added Error Label for Ship Request Failures

Added ability to generate an error label, if a ship request fails. Error Placeholder labels include information about the error and the following reference fields to help identify the shipment:

  • Package Reference
  • Ship Reference
  • Reference 1
  • Reference 2
  • Reference 3

The label can be generated in ZPL format for Client printing.

Ancillary Endorsement. Improved Service Behavior

Updated the way the Ancillary Endorsement service works with UPS Consolidated. In blackbox environment, if you want to use the service, use the SmartPostAncillaryEndorsement node.

SUPPORT ITEMS

This section includes items that have been raised via Support and escalated to Development for resolution within this release.

Blackbox. Added Ability to Pass MeterSerialNumber to Package Number Request

Added ability to pass a Meter Serial Number to the Package Number Request. The transaction will now use the default postal meter, if one is configured for the account.

Refer to the XML Schema Changes section of these release notes.

XSys. Added Support for Package Reference Fields

Added support for the Package level Reference1 to Reference6 fields within XSys. These variables are now available within the editor for use within SQL, if required.

Onboarding API. Added Support for Password Hashing

Shipment Server Onboarding API now supports all password hashing formats. In addition, improved the failed authentications error messaging. Previously, any failed authentication error would result in a message indicating the "authorization header had not been set". Now, this error is only returned if no header is provided, and a different error indicates the result of any failed request.

Generation 2 Address Book. Nulls Now Imported as Empty Strings

Simple and Outlook import options will now use the empty string format, if importing empty fields into the Address Book. Previously, they were converted to NULL.

Generation 2 Project Templates. Fixed Issues with Loading a Single-Pane Template in Chrome

Resolved an issue affecting Generation 2 single-pane template, such as Desktop or Mailroom, when loaded in Chrome. Previously, when used with a project group, the template would fail to size correctly, leaving excessive white space at the bottom of the screen. This issue has now been resolved and the templates will now load correctly in Chrome. Also, resolved an issue with 404 errors affecting images.

A new, Generation 2 Desktop 3.5, project template has been issued to remove an unused textbox. Refer to the Project Template Changes section of these release notes.

PB Shipping API – USPS. Corrected Transaction Reports not Showing Zero Balance

Corrected an issue with the PB Shipping API transaction reports incorrectly displaying the opening balance.

Generation 2 Project Templates. Fixed Loading Records within Embedded DataViews

Corrected an issue where line items would be limited to 20 records when displayed in embedded DataViews. DataViews will now display all line items, regardless of the size of the shipment viewed.

USPS BPOD Download. Corrected Paging Logic within the BPOD Download Task

Several changes have been made in this area:

  • Corrected an issue with the USPS BPODs download and extract file functionality not working correctly, if the PDX API call returned more than 100 files within the response. This issue was caused by the Gateway UI filters not allowing for the full list display.
  • The diagnostic logging has been improved for the BPOD Download task to include JSON responses with the details about the outbound file list request.
  • Fixed an issue with the date displayed within the End of Day controls not matching the one from the manifest.

  • Zebra 110XiIIIPlus (203 DPI)
