SendPro Enterprise version 8.24.0 Release Notes (November 15, 2018)
The following headline enhancements have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:
SendPro Enterprise. Updated .NET framework version.
The product now uses the latest version of the .NET framework, version 4.7.2. The upgrade affects all components of the product, including the installer and client-side tools. Therefore, all machines that have elements of the product installed (e.g., Data Agent; Peripheral Agent) must have the .NET 4.7.2 framework available. If accessing the product only via a browser, the installation of the framework is not required.
Address Book. Enhanced permissions logic.
Added ability to determine which address books a user has access to. This is controlled by permissions applied at both the user and profile level, and is supported by the following features:
- Added a new tab, Address Book Permissions, to the Administration App’s Users and Profiles page. The tab is used to configure address book permissions when adding or editing users/profiles. For detail, see Users or Profiles.
- A new import/export entity, Address Book Type Permissions, has been added. See Database for detail. Additionally, you can only import/export Contact data in line with your address book permissions.
- The Address Book snippet now only displays the address books and related contacts enabled by your permissions. Also, a contact can only be saved into an address book for which you have permission.

DHL International API. Renamed carrier to DHL XML-PI and updated carrier attributes.
Alongside carrier rebranding, the following changes have been implemented:
- Added new carrier services:
- Domestic Economy Select
- Medical Express
- Freight Worldwide
- Jumbo Box
- Globalmail Business
- Same Day
- Removed the Break Bulk Economy carrier service.
- Added the new carrier special services:
- Appointment Delivery
- Delivery Confirmation - No Signature Required
Additionally, corrected an issue in the View App where multiple errors presented when voiding shipments.
The following other changes have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:
Stamps App. Updated History display.
The Stamps App’s History tab now displays the most recent entries first.
Stamps App. Resolved Stamps Detail display.
All rows in the Stamps App’s Stamp Details page now display correctly.<./p>
Stamps App. Addressed special service issue.
You can no longer process stamp requests when the special service Insurance or Insurance Restricted Delivery are selected but no value inputted.
Batch Meter App. Corrected accounting references defaults.
If configured, the default Cost Center, Company Code, and Account Code now load correctly in the Batch Meter App.
Batch Meter App. Resolved connection errors.
Meter errors no longer present when operating in the Batch Meter App.
Batch Meter App. Fixed issue with DM300 Meter.
The DM300 meter now functions as expected with the Batch Meter App. An issue with the DM300 software causes the meter to occasionally fail to process a transaction, and will not display the accurate batch count on-screen. However, on closing, the correct number of transactions and total charge are processed.
Reports. Updated PDF generation logic.
Updates have been made to the reports engine to correct issues when generating multi-page PDF reports in Internet Explorer (IE). As IE does not natively support viewing a PDF, SendPro Enterprise previously generated an image and PDF version of the report, with the image used as the report preview. Now, only the first page of the report is returned in the image representation when requesting PDF reports within IE.
HubCapp. Resolved handling of characters in Printer Name.
Printer Names including the single quotation mark (‘) character are now handled correctly by the HubCapp Peripheral Agent. There is a new HubCapp Peripheral Agent 2.12.0.
Shipping Apps. Corrected issue with Ultimate Consignee.
Ultimate Consignee addresses now function as expected when country codes are used to set the country. Previously, if only the code was entered, the request would error.
Stamps App. Corrected accounting references defaults.
If configured, the default Cost Center, Company Code and Account Code now load correctly in the Stamps App.
Desktop App. Updated ship request form.
Sender Name and Department now display correctly on ship request forms. Note that this fix does not apply to the Desktop Shipping App.
Client Printing. Corrected blank page printing with outputs.
This is now resolved.
