Applying for a credit limit increase for your Purchase Power line of credit
Your Purchase Power credit limit is the amount of credit available for postage and shipping services. You can request a permanent or temporary increase through the Pitney Bowes Your Account portal.
- A permanent line increase raises your credit limit moving forward.
- A temporary line increase raises your credit limit for 2 business days. You must include the payment method (ACH or wire only), payment date, confirmation number, and payment amount for a temporary line increase.
If you are not registered for Your Account, sign up before submitting your request.
How to apply for a credit limit increase
- Sign in to the Pitney Bowes Your Account online portal.
- If prompted, select the Your Account business portal, otherwise, you will be directed to your Your Account dashboard.
- From the Postage menu and click Credit Line Balance.
- Locate the required account and select Increase Credit Limit.
- Complete all the required fields of the Business Information form and click Next.
- Choose the type of increase you want to request: Permanent Line Increase or Temporary Line Increase.
- Enter the total new credit limit amount you need.
- Provide your reason for the increase.
Note: If you are requesting a temporary line increase, include the payment method (ACH or wire only), payment date, confirmation number, and payment amount for a temporary line increase. - Click Next.
- Add authorized contact information, then click Next.
- Primary contact information is required.
- Secondary contact information is optional.
- Accept the terms and conditions.
- Check the I acknowledge the conditions above box to acknowledge the conditions.
- Enter your name (required) and job title (optional).
- Click Submit.
Important notes about temporary increases
- Your Purchase Power account must be in good standing (not past due or in an unfavorable status) to apply for a temporary line increase.
- If you do not have electronic payment details available, apply for a permanent credit limit increase instead, as that option may better suit your business needs.
What happens after you submit?
- All credit limit increase requests are subject to review, and approval is not guaranteed.
- Permanent requests receive approval instantly, but temporary requests may take up to 24 hours. Larger requests may take up to 3 business days.
- Once approved, your new credit limit is available immediately. The updated limit may appear in Your Account overnight.
