Printhead communication errors on the Connect+ Series, SendPro P-Series or SendPro MailCenter
Remove and then replace the printhead to resolve printhead communication errors.

Issue
One of the following error codes appear and the meter will not print:
- 041822009B: Printer PCA board error
- 04182200B2: Printer unable to communicate with print head
- 041842003D: Missing print head
- 041842003A: Missing print head
- 041842003B: Print head error in the left slot of {{printaxis}} carriage
Cause
The printer has lost communication with the printhead.
Resolution
Remove and then replace the printhead to resolve printhead communication errors.
- Select Settings on the Home screen.
- Select Hardware.
- Select Printer.
- Select the Print head tab.
- Select Install new.
- Open the printer cover. If a message about the printer cover being open appears, select Clear message.
- Open the blue lid.
- Lift one printhead out by the blue handle.
- Re-insert the printhead. The print contact must be facing toward the front of the device.
- Make sure the handle is down and then apply pressure only to the center of the printhead.
- Close the blue lid securing the printheads in position.
- Close the printer cover.
- Select Start to print a test pattern on an envelope or select Tape to print a tape.
- Select either:
- Image is OK - Done if the print quality is acceptable and then select the Home button to return to the Home screen or
- Select Not OK - Clean print head if the print quality is unacceptable. The meter cleans the printhead. Perform another test print when prompted. You can perform up to three printhead clean cycles.
- Image is OK - Done if the print quality is acceptable and then select the Home button to return to the Home screen or
- Select the Home button to return to the Home screen.
