Resolve Error E109 "Material Inside Folder" on the DF800 and DF900

The machine is displaying error code E109 Material Inside Folder and will not run.


The machine detects paper inside of the machine.


  1. Clear the deck:
    1. Press Clear Deck.
    2. Press Trial Piece to test.
  2. Check for jams:
    1. Remove fold plate 2 from the left side of the machine by pulling the blue levers out and lift up on the fold plate.
    2. Remove any material or debris.
    3. Reinstall fold plate 2.
    4. Press Trial Piece to test.
  3. Reboot the folder:
    1. Turn the machine off using the switch on the lower left side.
    2. Wait 10 seconds.
    3. Turn the machine back on.
    4. Press Clear Deck.
    5. Press Trial Piece to test.
