How to prepare a Tracking Assistant for initialization

To prepare a Tracking Assistant for initialization:

Models J594, T762, T763 (Windows CE-based devices)
  1. On the Tracking Assistant, tap the crosshair in the center of the screen until it disappears.
  2. Select Windows Start icon > Settings > Control Panel > Date/time.
  3. Set the date, time, and time zone to match your computer.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Select OK.
  6. Select Display/Backlight.
  7. Set the timeout setting to 5 minutes.
  8. Select OK.
  9. Select Power > Advanced.
  10. Set the timeout setting to 5 minutes.
  11. Select OK.
  12. Select System.
  13. Select the Memory tab.
  14. Move the slider to the center of the blue gradient scale.
  15. Select OK.
  16. Select X to return to the desktop screen.
The Tracking Assistant is now ready for initialization.

Models T741, T742, T743, T744, T745, T746 (WinMobile-based devices)
  1. On the Tracking Assistant, tap the crosshair in the center of the screen until it disappears.
  2. Select Time/Clock on the desktop screen of the scanner.
  3. Set the date, time, and time zone to match your computer.
  4. Select OK or Yes to save the settings.
  5. Select the Windows Start icon > Settings > System folder.
  6. Select Backlight.
  7. Adjust the timeout to 5 minutes.
  8. Select OK.
  9. Scroll down and select Power.
  10. At top of the screen select the Advanced tab.
  11. Set timeouts to 5 minutes.
  12. Select OK.
The Tracking Assistant is now ready for initialization.
