How to set up a partnership in Windows Mobile Device Center

To set up a partnership in Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC):
  1. Place the handheld device in a single bay cradle attached to the computer.
  2. On the computer, select Windows Start > All Programs > Windows Mobile Device Center.
  3. Select Setup your device.
  4. Deselect any items that are selected so that all of the boxes are blank.
  5. Select Next.
  6. Enter the Device Name in the text box.
  7. (Optional) Select whether to create a shortcut on the desktop.
  8. Select Merge the existing items on the device.
  9. Select Set Up.
