How to change a J693 or J696 label printer used with SendSuite Live to Thermal Transfer or Direct Thermal

Learn how to change a J693 or J696 label printer used with SendSuite Live to Thermal Transfer or Direct Thermal.

This change can be made either on the computer or on the printer.

To make the change on the computer:
  1. Select Windows Start > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click on the label printer and select Printer properties.
  3. Select the Tools tab.
  4. From the Configure menu, select Configure Printer.
  5. For the print method, select Thermal Transfer or Direct Thermal as needed.
  6. Select OK.
  7. Select OK.
  8. The printer should reset automatically. If it does not, reset it manually.
To make the change on the printer:
 
J696
  1. Press the Menu (left arrow) button.
  2. Press the Enter button (top right) twice.
  3. Using the up or down arrows, highlight the desired option.
  4. Press the Enter button.
  5. Press the Exit button (top left).
  6. When prompted to save, press the Enter button.
J693
  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Press the Cancel button twice.
  3. Using the Pause or Feed buttons, toggle between the options. When the desired option is displayed, press the Cancel button to select. An asterisk (*) will appear next to that option.
  4. Press the Menu button 3 times.
  5. When prompted to save, press the Cancel button.
