Resolving "Scale not detected" on the SendPro Mailstation

If your SendPro Mailstation displays "Scale not detected" when you place a letter on the scale, follow these steps to resolve the issue.
Products affected: SendPro® Mailstation, SendPro® Mailstation LITE (HZ0L)

Issue

The device displays "Scale not detected" when you place a letter on the scale.

Resolution

Nearby objects that cause vibration or airflow, as well as additional devices connected to the USB ports, can trigger this error. Make sure nothing near the device is causing vibrations (for example, a fan blowing air), and verify that only the scale is connected to the USB ports on the SendPro Mailstation.

If the “Scale not detected” message continues to appear, try the following solutions in order: 

Zero the scale

  1. Remove any items from the scale.
  2. Tap Weight.
  3. Tap Zero Scale.

You can now weigh the mailpiece again.

Connecting the scale to a different USB port

Restart the device

  1. Hold the power button until the screen displays "Shutting Down."
  2. Once off wait 5 seconds.
  3. Tap the power button.

Hard-reboot the device

  1. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the machine.
  2. Wait ten seconds.
  3. Plug the cord back in firmly.
  4. Tap the power button
