Flashing orange light on the PB-SP100 (1E47, 1E48, 1E51, or 1E53) label printer

Issue

The right LED on the printer's cover is flashing orange (amber) and the left LED is green.

Cause

One of the printer buttons was held down for 2 seconds, causing the printer to cycle through its various LED patterns.

Resolution

This is normal behavior. The printer should cycle through the following LED pattern, then automatically revert to two solid green LEDs in a ready state. This process takes about 20 seconds.

  • Left LED solid green, right LED flashing orange
  • Left LED solid orange, right LED flashing red
  • Left LED solid orange, right LED flashing yellow
  • Left LED solid orange, right LED flashing orange
  • Left LED solid red, right LED flashing orange
  • Left LED solid red, right LED flashing red
  • Left LED solid green, right LED solid green

If there are any issues after the cycle completes, try turning the printer off and on:

  1. Turn the printer off for 60 seconds.
  2. Turn the printer back on.
