A Batch file is a single PDF that contains multiple mail pieces. Only "Searchable" or "Real" PDFs (also known as True or Normal PDFs) files can be used as a Batch file.
IMPORTANT: PDFs that are locked from editing cannot be used.
To check if you have a Searchable PDF:
- Open the PDF document.
- Try to select the text on the page with a selection tool.
- If you can highlight a text string and copy/paste it into a text editor, then the PDF can be used as a Batch file.
- If you cannot highlight a text on the page, then the PDF cannot be used as a Batch file.
