Reserving a locker for a return in ParcelPoint Smart Lockers

As mailroom administrator or locker operator, you can reserve a locker for a package return.

As mailroom administrator or locker operator, you can reserve a locker for a package return.

Setting when the One Time PIN expires

The One Time PIN determines how long the recipient has to complete the return.

  1. Click Settings > General Settings (under Lockers).

  2. Set the One Time PIN Expiration to your desired setting.

Reserving the locker for the return

  1. Select Lockers > Reserve Locker.

  2. Select Return.

  3. Enter the Package Details.

    1. Scan or enter the tracking number of the package, or click + to generate a unique tracking number.
    2. In the Drop Off section, select the Package Type, either Individual or Department.
    3. Select the Recipient or Department.
      • If the Package Type is Individual, enter the Recipient's information. The recipient must already exist in the system's contact list. As you enter the first 3 letters of the recipient's name, the system will show a list of names and addresses that begin with those letters. Select the recipient from the list.
      • If the Package Type is Department, select a Department from the list.
    4. In the Pick Up section, select the Package Type, either Individual or Department.
    5. Select the Recipient or Department.
      • If the Package Type is Individual, enter the Recipient's information. The recipient must already exist in the system's contact list. As you enter the first 3 letters of the recipient's name, the system will show a list of names and addresses that begin with those letters. Select the recipient from the list.
      • If the Package Type is Department, select a Department from the list.
  4. Enter the Locker Details.

    1. Select the location from the Location menu.
    2. the locker bank from the Locker Bank menu. Note that only locker banks assigned to you will be displayed.
    3. If the recipient requires a wheelchair-accessible locker (15 - 48 inches above the floor), select Requires Accessible Locker.
    4. From the Locker Size menu, select either small, medium or large.
  5. Select Reserve.

Drop Off recipients will receive an email notifying them to bring their item to the locker bank.

Dropping off the package

  1. Tap Collect an Item. The screen you see depends on the local configuration of your lockers.
  2. Follow the prompts to tap your ID, scan your code, or tap Enter Code Manually.
    • If you choose to enter the pickup code, use the keyboard to enter the pickup code. Tap Submit.
  3. Place the package in the locker and close the door. If the package being returned does not fit, return to the kiosk, tap Does Not Fit and then select a different sized locker. Close the locker door.
  4. Tap Done. You return to the Home screen.

Picking up the package

  1. Tap Collect an Item. The screen you see depends on the local configuration of your lockers.
  2. Follow the prompts to tap your ID, scan your code, or tap Enter Code Manually.
    • If you choose to enter the pickup code, use the keyboard to enter the pickup code. Tap Submit.
  3. Using your finger, sign for the package in the area provided.

  4. Tap Submit.
  5. Remove the package from the locker and close the door. You return to the Home screen.
