SendPro Enterprise version 8.53.0(1) Release Notes (October 17, 2022)

Note: Some changes affect all SendPro Enterprise users, while other changes affect licensed users only. If you are a subscriber, your SendPro Enterprise is hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud with the address https://name.sendproenterprise.com, where "name" is your organization's unique value. If you are a licensed user, your SendPro Enterprise is not hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud.

Headline Enhancements

The following headline enhancements have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

App Improvements. Streamlined app code.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Code improvements should provide faster load times and increased app performance.

Carrier Changes

The following carrier changes have been implemented for SendPro Enterprise:

UPS API. Verbal Confirmation.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

This special service is no longer supported by the carrier.

FedEx SmartPost Server. Renamed to FedEx Ground Economy Server.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Carrier onboarding wizard has been updated to reflect this change. Additionally, carrier service names have been updated to align with FedEx branding changes. This includes the following:

• FedEx SmartPost® parcel select lightweight (ID 470) is now FedEx Ground® Economy(Under 1lb)
• FedEx SmartPost® Bound Printed Matter (ID 471) is now FedEx Ground® Economy Bound Printed Matter
• FedEx SmartPost® Media (ID 472) is now FedEx Ground® Economy Media Mail
• FedEx SmartPost® parcel select (ID 473) is now FedEx Ground® Economy

FedEx Server. Added new label stock types.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Two new stock types have been added for FedEx Server (FSMS) to support fanfold format:

• 588 - Zebra 4 x 8.5
• 688 - Zebra 4 x 10.5

Please note that these stock types require FSMS version 20.

UPS API. Removed No Signature Delivery Confirmation.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Delivery Confirmation - No Signature has been removed from the available delivery confirmation special service options for the carrier UPS API. This change is inline with recent carrier changes.

DHL eCommerce API. Corrected UOM passing in carrier connector.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Addressed an issue within the connector for DHL ECommerce API whereby dimension and weight UOMs in the localization element of the connector request were not being utilized when UOM elements were not included at package level.

UPS Mail Innovations. Added Disposition Method special service options for carrier.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

These endorsements will appear on the shipping label when selected. The following options have been added:

• Return Service Requested
• Change Service Requested
• Address Service Requested
• Forwarding Service Requested

Carrier Details. Removed tracking URL input box.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

The Edit Carrier > Carrier Details popup in the Administration App has been updated to remove the tracking URL input box, as this field was displaying non-user-friendly data and no longer requires editing.

FedEx SameDay City API. OpenTime and EndTime.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Amended FedEx SameDay City API connector to resolve an issue whereby rating a shipment would error when the hours of operation start and end times were sent to the carrier with a value of zero. The fix will no longer pass these values in the Carrier Request.

UPS Mail Innovations. Cost Centers - Behavior.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Corrected an issue where Cost Center data was not passed correctly to the carrier, and subsequently not appearing on the label. The Cost Center used will now appear correctly.

FedEx Web Services. International Priority connector - US territories.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

In a prior release, new connector service names were implemented to conform with FedEx Web Services API updates. However, an issue was discovered whereby FedEx Web Services was still requiring the prior service name for International Priority transactions to US territory destinations. The original change for these locations only has been reverted to the prior service name, per communication with FedEx, to allow these destinations to rate and ship again as expected. Other international destinations with continue to pass the updated service name to the carrier.

Carrier Tracking. Updated Shipment Notifier task tracking URL.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The Shipment Notifier task will now obtain the carrier tracking URL from settings, correcting an issue where included links generated by the notifier were broken.

FedEx Web Services. Residential Value - FedEx Home Delivery.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

An error was corrected where the IsResidential flag was not included in subsequent ship requests. Corrected behavior will now respect the flag when processing a universal shipment request with a type of warehouse order.

DHL eCommerce API. Shipper Address 2.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Corrected error when shipper address 2 line was not being passed correctly to carrier in carrier request. Additionally, the label was updated to also display the shipper name correctly, which had previously been missing and was replaced with a duplicated field.

Other Changes

The following other changes have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

UI Improvements.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Updated UI in some apps whereby certain screen elements would be blocked when viewed on smaller displays. After adding additional line items, screen elements will now remain accessible and not be blocked by the page footer.

Logistics Server. Corrected behavior for IsInternational flag.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

An issue has been addressed whereby the IsInternational flag was not set when incomplete sender details were passed in a blackbox request. The user's default location will now be used to assess whether the request is international.

Special Services snippet. Return Label & Special Services.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Corrected previous behavior whereby special services could be selected from the snippet on the Package tab and pass as if selected on the snippet for Returns. Special services selected will now be separate and not cross between transaction types when both a shipping and return label are produced, and will need to be selected independently for each.

Stamps App. Updated stamp sheet format.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Stamps App will now use the newer IMI-STD sheet format when a serial number is entered that starts with any letter that is not "a". Serial Numbers starting with "a" will continue to use the older IMI-MIN sheet format.

Data Management. Shipment Transaction Export.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

An issue has been fixed whereby the Shipment Transaction export would contain unwanted lines if carriage returns were present in certain data fields. The export process has been modified to strip out carriage return characters from the data before outputting to the export file.

App Settings. Editing via the Search API.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The resolved behavior should now allow settings to be modified without checking for the presence of unrelated apps.
