Preventing users from managing shared contacts in PitneyShip, PitneyShip Pro, PitneyShip Enterprise

Enterprise administrators can prevent users from managing shared contacts. If this setting is enabled, users will only be able to create, edit, and delete their private contacts.

Products affected: PitneyShip®, PitneyShip® Pro, PitneyShip® Enterprise

Enterprise administrators can prevent users from managing shared contacts. If this setting is enabled, users will only be able to create, edit, and delete their own private contacts. This means that when users create contacts, the Mark As Private box will be checked and cannot be unchecked. Thus, contacts will only be visible to the user who created them.

Only enterprise administrators can access this setting.

  1. Select Settings > Address Book.
  2. Select Don’t allow user to manage shared contacts.
