- Select Print Shipping Label from the Home screen.
- Select the desired carrier (USPS, UPS or FedEx).
- If enabled, select the Cost Accounts menu and then select the desired cost account. For more information, see Managing cost accounts in PitneyShip Pro or PitneyShip Enterprise.
- Enter the recipient's address using one of two methods:
- Enter the recipient's address in the fields provided. If the name or part of the name is already in the address book, the matching address(es) appear.
- Select the Address Book icon. You can scroll through the list of addresses or select a search option (search by full name, street etc.) by selecting the down arrow in front of the search field. If you select an international address, the State and ZIP Code fields change to Province and Postal Code.
- To email the tracking number to recipients, senders or both when you print the shipping label, select the Email the tracking number check box.
- Enter the email address. To add more than one email, press the Enter key after each address.
- Select the down arrow on the right side of the screen to continue and to verify the USPS address. This ensures your address is recognized by the USPS.
- Select which type of packaging you are sending. Each carrier provides a list of carrier-specific packages (flat-rate envelopes or boxes) to choose from. Hover the cursor over each option to view the dimensions and maximum allowable weight allowed.
- You can also choose to use your own envelopes or boxes in which case you are prompted to select the package type (box, envelope, or irregular packaging) and enter the dimensions and the weight.
- If you are creating an international or military shipping label, enter the required customs information in the Provide Customs Detail screen. This includes where it's made, the cost, weight and total value. The exact requirements will depend on the carrier.
- Select the desired service. Depending on the package type and the carrier service, you can also add extra services. When you complete selecting the services desired, the total cost for the shipping label appears at the bottom of the screen.
- Select Print.
Note: Depending on the service, you may need to enter the Sender and / or the Recipient's phone number. Enter the numbers and click Continue. - Select either Roll 4 x 6 or Plain Paper 8.5 x 11 in the print size field. Ensure you select the correct size as once you print the shipping label you cannot change the size.
