Learn how to apply the OAuth authentication method to your UPS carrier in SendPro Enterprise.

UPS API OAuth Authentication Method

UPS is updating how your UPS account connects with SendPro Enterprise. For more information see UPS OAuth update FAQ.

To use your UPS account with SendPro Enterprise, you must complete the following:

Create a UPS.com account and link your UPS Account number to the login

  1. Go to UPS.com.
  2.  Cick Log In in the upper right corner.
  3. If you have a login, enter it now, otherwise, select Sign Up and create your account.
  4. After Logging in, in the upper right corner select the circle icon with a letter in the middle (or the three parallel lines next to it) and then click Accounts and Payment.
  5. Click Add a Payment Method menu and select Add Existing Account,it will request that you add your UPS Account Number, nickname, and postal code.
  6. Verify your UPS account. The two options for this are:
    • PIN: Tied to the email that was used to create the account
    • Invoice Data: A recent invoice from UPS for billing
  7. After the account is verified and added to your Payment Methods on your UPS.com profile, repeat steps 5 and 6 for each additional account.
  8. When all accounts are added, link your UPS account to SendPro Enterprise.

Link your UPS.com account with SendPro Enterprise

  1. Open SendPro Enterprise and select the My Apps menu, click the app UPS API OAuth Setup.
    • If you don't have this app and are authorized to link the UPS.com account with SendPro Enterprise, contact support at 1-800-888-0286 > Shipping > SendPro Enterprise, to add the app to your profile.
  2. The UPS API OAuth Setup app offers two options to proceed:
    • Guided Setup: You will see a box in the upper right to start the guided setup. Clicking OK and entering info at each step will walk you through linking your account with SendPro Enterprise.
    • Manual Setup:  If you click "Cancel" in the Guided Setup, the guided setup will disappear and you will have to manually set up your UPS.com Account with SendPro Enterprise. Follow the steps below, they are also available in the app. 
      1. Select Add Account Group in the upper right of the app.
      2. In the Account Group box, add a name for the group.
      3. Select the Save button.
      4. Add your UPS accounts to the Account Group
        • Manually add:
          1. Select the Search button to search for the UPS accounts on SendPro Enterprise.
          2. A list will then appear click the Select button.
          3. Select the Assign Account button to assign the account to the group.
          4. Repeat for each account you want to add.
        • Bulk Assign: You can bulk assign all UPS Accounts in SendPro Enterprise to this Account Group as long as they are not assigned to another Account Group.
        • Assign All - The Assign All button will add all UPS Accounts in SendPro Enterprise to this Account Group. If a UPS Account was assigned to a different Account Group, it will be unassigned from that Group and assigned to this one.
      5. Select Save to save changes.
      6. Select the Get Token button to link the selected accounts with your UPS.com account.
        1. After you select the Get Token button, you will be redirected to the UPS.com log in page to log into your UPS.com Account.
        2. After logging into your UPS.com Account, you will receive the confirmation message "Account Group has been successfully linked to your account".
        • Note: If you receive a different message, please contact support at 1-800-888-0286 > Shipping > SendPro Enterprise to troubleshoot the issue.
        1. Close the Requesting OAuth Token From UPS API box.
      7. In the Account Group window in SendPro Enterprise UPS API OAuth Setup app, select the Reload button. The Has Token checkbox should be checked.
      8. Select Save & Close to exit the Account Group window.
      9. Your UPS.com Account should now be linked to your SendPro Enterprise system.

Note: If you are unable to ship with UPS or receive a $0 rate, contact support at 1-800-888-0286, select shipping > SendPro Enterprise to troubleshoot the issue.
