PitneyAnalytics Release Notes for version 1.106.0 (June 11, 2025)

Products affected: PitneyAnalytics®

What's New

Custom Fiscal Periods for Flexible Financial Reporting

Clients now have the flexibility to define custom accounting periods that align with their internal financial cycles. This means they can set non-standard fiscal periods—such as from the 15th of one month to the 14th of the next. These custom periods apply across reports, dashboards, exports, scheduling, and favorite reports.

Users can select a custom fiscal year start date from the calendar using the new Change Fiscal Year option under Custom Range. Dates can be selected from the 1st to the 28th of any month (the 29th to the 31st are disabled for consistency). Only past dates up to 365 days are allowed. Leap years are supported.

When a fiscal start date is changed, users are alerted that this will affect all reports, including scheduled and favorite ones. Tooltips also show exact date ranges when hovering over preset options.

System Behavior & Impact:

  • Weeks always start on Sunday.
  • Reports, dashboards, and exports will follow the new fiscal calendar.
  • Scheduled and favorite reports will automatically adjust.
  • Comparison reports will use the client-defined fiscal year.
  • Exported report filenames will reflect the correct date range (e.g., Sending Report_2025-04-10_to_2025-05-16.csv).

Enhanced Shipment Reporting with New Filters and Fields

Shipment reporting has been enhanced to provide clients with greater flexibility and detail. Users can now filter reports by label type (Delivery, Return, or Void) using a new single-select filter that replaces the previous All/Shipments/Stamps option. This helps clearly distinguish between different types of transactions. Additionally, the Shipment Details Report now includes a global filter for Custom Field from the shipping workflow, as well as a new Employee ID filter. The Employee ID is pulled from user setup data and works independently from the Agent/Users filter. If no ID is provided, Not available will be shown.

Several new columns have also been added to the Shipment Details Report, including Spend Category, Custom Fields, Lowest Rate Used, Lowest Base Amount, Lowest Carrier Name, Lowest Carrier Service, and Ship Request Location details. These fields are optional by default but can be included in exports (Excel/CSV) and scheduled reports via SFTP or email. Overall, these updates provide more precise filtering and richer data for shipment analysis.

New Package Detail Report for Lockers

A new Package Detail Report has been added to the Lockers tab in PitneyAnalytics, providing clients with detailed package-level information for locker transactions. Users can search transactions by the tracking number, sort columns in ascending or descending order, and customize the report by renaming or reordering columns, just like other locker reports.

The report supports time zone alignment and allows filtering by key date fields: Received OnPlaced in Locker On, and Delivered By. It can be exported in Excel or CSV formats, scheduled for delivery via SFTP or email, and saved as a favorite for quick access.
