PitneyShip Release Notes version 1.107.0 (June 26, 2025)

PitneyShip Release Notes for version 1.107.0 (June 26, 2025).

Products affected: PitneyShip®

What's New

Enhancement to FedEx Authentication error message

Previously, users would see the message "A system error occurred, try again later" if their address validation failed and the maximum number of attempts was exceeded.

With the new enhancement, if a user encounters an error during the FedEx account authentication due to an address mismatch and exceeds the maximum number of attempts, they will receive an error message indicating their account is locked for 24 hours. The message will read: "Unable to authenticate FedEx account due to the incorrect address. Your account is locked for 24 hours due to exceeding maximum attempts. Please try again later."

Improved FedEx invoice authentication

We have made improvements to the FedEx invoice authentication. Users will receive an alert informing them not to use any special characters when entering their invoice number in the Invoice Number field. We have also added a notification to notify users to avoid multiple incorrect attempts: "If you have multiple failed attempts, this FedEx account will be blocked for 24 hours."

Introducing PB UPS rates account

PB UPS Rates is a shipping system in which Pitney Bowes covers all shipping fees to the carrier, eliminating the need to split costs among the sender, recipient, and others.

This feature is available to new users who subscribe to the product and to existing users who have not yet added their own UPS account. Users without their own UPS account will be automatically assigned a PB UPS Rates account. Users who had the old PB UPS discounted rate accounts will be converted to PB UPS Rate accounts. Users who have added their own UPS accounts cannot onboard a PB UPS Rates account, and users who have signed up for a PB UPS Rates account cannot add their own UPS account. Pitney Bowes will handle all shipping fees for PB Rates accounts, consolidating payment responsibilities.

A phone number is required to create a PB UPS Rates account, and a valid credit card is necessary to print UPS shipping labels. PB UPS Rates accounts do not support scheduled pickups or manifests. Users can only print single-payer labels or other labels, but not both together.

Users can request refunds using the Refund Label button within 30 days of printing the label. Refund statuses include Refund Requested, Refund Approved, and Refund Denied. Refunds for voided labels will be credited within 14 days of the void request, excluding transaction charges for credit cards.

Latest Updates

Enhancement to Stamp Sheet error message

We have implemented an enhancement that displays an error message when users enter a Stamp Sheet Serial Number with a used Stamp ID. This enhancement will notify clients that the Stamp Sheet has already been used, prompting them to enter new or unused Stamp Sheet numbers to print stamps.

Introduction of new Payment error messages

We have introduced new payment error codes. The first code, PS-EP-4001, indicates insufficient funds and advises users to make a deposit, payment, or request a credit limit increase. The second code, PS-1000, signals a temporary error in processing the payment and suggests trying again later.

Improved Subscription cancellation message

When users cancel their PitneyShip subscription and have a remaining postage balance, they will see an updated message indicating that the balance will be credited within 30 business days.
