When the machine runs out of tap it displays 03114100AD "Out of tape" or one of these error codes: 0213420019 or 0198610011.

This error code appears when the meter detects that the printer cover is open. To resolve this error, ensure that the cover is fully closed.
Remove the tape from the franking machine, turn the franking machine off, replace the tape then restart the franking machine to resolve the error 031A410001 "Sensor auto calibration error".
This meter is configured to print with postal ink in slot 1 only. Remove the ink cartridge from slot 2.
Verify that the installed ink cartridge is genuine Pitney Bowes ink. If it is not, replace it with a genuine Pitney Bowes ink cartridge.

If you have a E-Z Seal solution leak, check to ensure that the solution bottle cap is tightly closed and that the cap's valve springs back up when pressed.
